Friends of the Seattle Public Library Book Swap [Room 16]
Friends of the Seattle Public Library will hold a Book Swap on both Saturday and Sunday. Support your local libraries and bring a book to swap or buy one for just $1.
This weekend marks the return of the Seattle Book Fest. The two-day event will include a $1.00 book sale and swap with the Friends. There will be author readings and signings, panels on local literature, bookstore booths, writing workshops, and more. Full details are available online: http://www.seattlebookfest.com/
We hope that many of you visit the Book Fest and show your support for the local literary community. Be sure to bring a paperback to trade with us. We will be in room/pod #16.
Book Fest is Saturday- Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm, at the Columbia City Event Center. The Event Center is the site of the former Columbia School, located at 3528 S. Ferdinand St., approximately one block from the new Columbia City light rail station.
Seattle Times columnist Jerry Large writes about Book Fest in the 10/22/09 edition: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/jerrylarge/2010113660_jdl22.html
We hope to see our Friends there!
